Cal and Phaedra pass by more tombs. Cal holds a finger to his chin, thinking. Phaedra looks disaffected.
Cal: I suppose it need not be said... but the SIZE of the tombs, and the other features of this subterrain... ...No, I need not say it.
Phaedra looks unimpressed.
Phaedra: They might be leading us this way to elicit more sympathy. For all we know, Cheth had these kids killed.
The masked figure listens as Phaedra continues.
Phaedra: Cults need their sacrifices, don't they?
The masked figure whirls around and stomps the water, creating a huge splash that shocks Phaedra and the group. They stop.
The masked figure stares at Phaedra, as defiantly as a smiling mask can stare.
Phaedra is perturbed. But she leans forward, also defiant.
Phaedra: Go ahead. Correct me if I'm wrong.
