A vision of Cheline and Cheth at odds. Cheline screams at Cheth, surrounded by fire, with feathers flared and extra eyes popping from her neck. Cheth cowers in fear.
Evabelle: One day, Cheline got really mad. She said Cheth had given the Raven too much power. She accused him of something called nepo... uh... nepo... I forget the word. Shoot. But it meant he had favored her too much.
Evabelle: She also said Cheth was too close to the Raven, and cared about her way more than a god should. Uncle Cheth says I'm too young to know everything Cheline said, but she accused her of a lot of bad things.
The Raven, in simple purple robes, kneels before Cheline's enormous clawed foot, bathed in the light of her flames. She looks upward, begging. The Canary stands behind her, holding Bonefeather.
Evabelle: The Raven begged Cheline not to fight with Uncle Cheth. She offered to give up her position, if it would make the goddess happy. She meant no harm.
Evabelle: The Raven looked to her friend for help.
The Raven looks backward, eyes filled with tears, looking horrified.
The Canary holds Bonefeather, casting a dark shadow. Her own eyes are tear-filled, and her face is resolute with anger and betrayal.
Evabelle: But the Canary finally sang her secret song:
The Canary speaks angrily through her tears.
Evabelle: "The Raven has seduced your brother, Lady Cheline. I saw it with my own eyes."
