A bit of news/transparency while I'm here:

Hello all! For those who don't follow me on social media, I have been accepted into Emerald City Comic Con - one of the biggest comic conventions on the west coast, happening in early March. I never thought I'd actually get in, so it's an incredible surprise.

...Too much of a surprise. Because I've promised to get the first volume of Phantomarine done for it.

Back when I applied, I didn't expect to find myself at the unholy crossroads of 1) crazy crowd shot pages depleting my buffer, 2) a cool-but-intense promotion at my day job, and 3) general end-of-year exhaustion. But here I am. It's absolutely possible to print the book a bit earlier than anticipated, but I might need to take a small break in January to do it without... well... destroying myself.

It wouldn't be a long break at all - I'd be sending it for printing in early February at the latest, and I'd definitely get copies out into the wild afterward, either with a Kickstarter or by putting them straight into the shop.

So yeah. I haven't made any decisions on breaks yet, but please do not be surprised if I pause pages for a few weeks in January to get this book out into the world. I don't want to take another break so soon, but this is a bit of an emergency. A cool emergency, but an emergency nonetheless. I would make it worth any lost time, I promise 💙
